BTU proudly presents its 20th Annual Power Pedal on Saturday October 13th at Lake Bryan, Texas. Power Pedal this year consists of 3 separate events from which to choose from: 5k trail run, 10k trail run, and a mountain bike race. Each event will offer cash prizes and awards.

Cadence SportsChip timing will be provided by Cadence Sports.
If you do not wear a chip, you will not be timed and therefore will not be included in any results. All chips must be surrendered at the finish line.

Registration:

***Early online registration ends Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 5pm. Registering by the 26th saves you $10 and guarantees a t-shirt***
Online registration closes Tuesday, October 9th at 3 pm.
No refunds or exchanges.

Race Day Registration:

Day of Registration 7:00 – 7:30 am at race site off Rye School Rd.

Packet Pick Up:

9 AM – 4 PM, Friday October 12 at the main office of Bryan Texas Utilities located at 205 E. 28th St Bryan, Texas 77803. Come in the front entrance and see the secretary to the right.
You can also pick up your packet the morning of October 13th at race site beginning at 7:00 am.

Trail Runs:

The 5k and 10k trail runs go through the woods over rock beds, roots and hills providing participants of all levels and categories with both beautiful scenery and a fitness challenge. The events have standard age category breakdowns for both men and women.

MOUNTAIN BIKE RACE (distance TBD):

The predominantly single track mountain bike trail race goes through the woods, roots, hills and obstacles and offers both men’s and women’s divisions. Participants must wear a helmet and use a mountain bike.

Directions: The start/finish line for this year will be just inside the gate on Rye School Road. Rye School Road is the first road on your right just past the main entrance to Lake Bryan. Park anywhere along the road. Parking is based on first come first serve. Please do not block anyone’s house or driveway.

Invitation and Information: BTU invites you to not only come out and participate in Power Pedal 2012, but also make a day out of your trip to Lake Bryan. Bring the fishing poles, kayak or volley ball. Plan to eat lunch at Lake Bryan’s Ice House Bar/Grill Restaurant. You can even visit www.lakebryan.com to reserve your campsite for the weekend. Whether you are participating or out to support a contestant with pictures and water distribution, enjoy your visit to Lake Bryan.
