Notify BTU About Dead Tree(s) Near Electric Lines
Tree in Line
The current drought conditions have stressed many trees in our community. BTU would like to know if you have a dead tree that could damage electric lines if it falls or if branches fall. We will send out our crews to determine if the tree may need to be cut down or topped. If the tree is determined to pose a threat to electric lines or equipment, a crew contracted by BTU will cut down or top the tree at no cost, but the property owner will be responsible for disposing of the debris left on the site.

You can inform us by calling the BTU Hazard Tree Hotline at 979-821-5873 or by completing the form below.

Note: If you are experiencing an electrical outage, call our 24-hour outage number at 979-822-3777 to report your outage. If you are experiencing an emergency, such as a fire, call 911.
