Need Help Paying Your Utility Bill?
If you need help paying your utility bill, there are programs and services that can assist you. Some of these programs work directly with you to provide you with monetary assistance, while others work on your behalf with “pledge assistance” and provide payment directly to BTU.
For pledge assistance, you will need to have a Letter of Authorization completed so that BTU knows that an organization is working on your behalf with pledge assistance.
Payment Arrangements are for accounts with an old debt or a balance transfer. These arrangements are set-up on a schedule and must be paid on-time to keep the agreement in good standing. Payment Arrangements are NOT an extension. If you need to request an extension, please contact a Customer Care Specialist at 979.821.5700.
Budget Billing helps you plan your monthly finances. BTU will average your previous 12 months of bills, and will then set a fixed payment amount for the next 12 months. That way, you’re not hit with a larger bill in July and a smaller one in November. It all evens out. And no late fees or service disconnections can occur while you are on the Budget Billing plan.
Kiosks are a fast, convenient, and easy way to pay your bill.
