Howdy neighbor!
You've chosen to live in a house or apartment in the City of Bryan or another area we serve, and we'd like to take a moment to introduce ourselves.
We're Bryan Texas Utilities (or BTU for short), and we've been proudly providing the Brazos Valley with reliable and affordable electricity since 1909. We're a publicly-owned, not-for-profit entity, which means we answer to you, not investors.
Fall, and August in particular, is our busiest time for new move-ins, but no matter what time of year you're moving in, we're honored to provide you with excellent service for as long as you call this area home!
Use this page as a resource to help make the transition to your new home as smooth as possible.
Other Important Reminders:
- The primary account holder is the one responsible to make the full payment each month, not just their share. Make sure you communicate all charges with your roommates and determine how you will handle repayment.
- BTU is also responsible for Lake Bryan! Visit lakebryan.com for more information on activities, hours, and more at Brazos County’s recreation destination.
- Your primary account holder is automatically signed up for text alerts, and you can track outage information in real time at btutilities.com/outage-center.
