At Bryan Texas Utilities we make the safety of our staff and customers our highest priority. We also believe that early education is one of the best ways to protect people from electrical hazards.
PowerTOWN is a high voltage model that creates a visible and audible electric arc, and demonstrates how electricity is distributed to customers as well as real life scenarios that can pose a life threatening risk. This educational tool allows BTU to visit elementary schools and participate in community events to discuss common hazards, including trees and kites contacting overhead lines, as well as the importance of calling 8-1-1 to mark underground powerlines before digging.
