Bryan Texas Utilities (BTU) has contracted with McCord Engineering to perform an aerial survey along the power line easements of Texas Avenue from Cooner Street to Villa Maria Road. This survey will take place between Jan. 4 and Jan. 8, 2021.
McCord Engineering will use an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) to perform this survey. McCord is licensed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to fly commercial aircraft and will strictly follow all FAA rules and regulations. The UAV will fly between 40 and 200 feet above Texas Avenue and will operate between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Additional ground personnel will be present during these flights and will be clearly marked as a contractor for BTU.
