Bryan Texas Utilities (BTU) has contracted with Davey Resource Group to inspect and preserve wooden electric distribution poles within their rural territory.
This program is part of an effort by BTU to identify poles that may need maintenance or replacement as part of their overall preventative maintenance program. The project is scheduled to start in December 2021 and should be completed by mid-March 2022.
Residents in the following areas may notice Davey Resource Group vehicles during this time period:
- Steephollow area—between FM 1179 and Hardy Weedon Road
- Koppe Bridge area—near Blue Ridge Drive and North and South Dowling Road
- Highway 21 and Smetana Road area
- Benchley Drive area
