Bryan Texas Utilities (BTU) has contracted with Smith Mountain Investments to perform inspections and preservative treatment of wood electric distribution poles within parts of BTU’s Rural System.
This program is part of an effort by BTU to identify poles that may need preventative maintenance or replacement as part of BTU’s overall preventative maintenance program. The project is scheduled to start around November 19, 2018 and should be completed by the end of April 2019. Inspections will take place in the following areas:
- East Highway 21 east of Marino Road
- West Highway 21 west of FM50
- Millican on FM2154 and FM159
Area residents may notice Smith Mountain Investment trucks and personnel in the area throughout the project period.
