BTU winter storm update

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), the electric grid operator overseeing the majority of the State of Texas, has announced that enough generation resources have come onto the electric system to cancel all Energy Emergency Alerts (EEAs). The electric grid has returned to normal operating levels, and is expected to remain so as temperatures continue to moderate.

Bryan Texas Utilities (BTU) would like to thank our customers for their support and energy conservation during this time. We understand that this was a trying time for many Texans, but are proud to serve those in the City of Bryan and the Brazos Valley. It is now safe to return to normal operations for all customers, as typical levels of reliability are expected.
